Oh how we love turquoise!!! Aqua, teal, aquamarine, peacock blue, Tiffany blue, minty blue, we adore them all. This post is entirely dedicated to our favorite color! There’s a reason why so many teachers are putting this color in their classrooms… it’s relaxing, calming, and good for focus. It’s also just plain beautiful.
We have been getting a lot of questions about turquoise lately… everyone wants to know where to find those amazing turquoise bins, stools, beanbags, decorative items, etc.
First, let’s look at a few of our favorite turquoise classrooms…
Ashley’s room is completely amazing, and the teal accents tie all the colors together and add a lovely pop of color! You can find some of her items below:
Ashley’s teal Keurig:
Ashley’s teal lamp:
I couldn’t find her turquoise letters…. you could try Hobby Lobby or Michaels. These aren’t turquoise, but I’m going to cheat and add them anyway because they’re super cute!
Cute teal chair:
Challeen’s room is such a lovely learning environment for her 6th graders! We have gotten a lot of questions about this super cute beanbag chair that she bought to perfectly accent her classroom library. The pillow cases are extremely reasonably priced on Amazon and sooo cute!!
Itty Bitty (18 inch):
Medium Height (24 inch- good for about 4th grade through middle school and will work with a school table raised as high as it will go!)
Super Tall (30 inch is much taller than you might think! These will only work if you have a very tall, bar-height table):
Not the exact rug we got for Challeen, but this one looks close:
The cute bench in Brittany’s room is so warm and colorful! With the the cushion that we made, a few storage cubes, and some coordinating pillows, this area is functional with the perfect pops of turquoise!
Bookshelf that can be turned on its side to be a storage bench (also comes in white and espresso):
Set of 2 storage cubes:
The best thing about turquoise is that different shades blend together beautifully! You can absolutely mix a pale, beachy aqua with a darker teal, and it’ll look beautiful.
Good luck adding this relaxing color to your classroom!
